Angie began her career in public accounting in 1992 and is currently a partner at Goldin Peiser & Peiser. She is responsible for providing accounting, consulting and business advisory services to the firm’s clients, as well heading the CFO Advisory Services practice within the Accounting Services group. The majority of her focus is on new business development strategy within the firm’s key niche industries—manufacturing and healthcare.
Angie joined the firm with more than 25 years of experience working in financial advisory roles in corporate finance and operations, as well as leadership roles in public accounting firms in the greater Dallas area. Most recently, during her eight years as the vice president and CFO of Galt Medical Corp., she played a key role in doubling the revenue of the company as well as improving margin, customer satisfaction and cross-functional team performance. She previously served as the regional director of BDO Business Resource Network for five years at BDO Seidman, LLP and spent five years as a principal at Belew Averitt, LLP, where she launched and managed Outsourced Financial Services, CFO Advisory Services and the IT consulting practices of the firm. These roles have positioned her to experience impressive successes within a wide array of industries.
Specifically, Angie has provided services and support to clients and employers in strategic planning, budgeting and financial analysis, process improvement and documentation, M&A and cash management. She has provided support to executives and boards in areas of business strategy, internal controls, financing, cost containment, cash flow and due diligence. Angie also has extensive background in ERP/MRP system selection and implementation and performance evaluation, as well as many other facets of business.
Angie was inspired to explore a career in accounting by the demands of the full-time job she maintained while attending college. Because she was responsible for the accounting functions of the company, she elected to take accounting courses to improve her understanding and efficiencies. She excelled in the accounting curriculum and chose to pursue a career in accounting where she could bring value to clients and companies every day. Her success can be attributed to her positive outlook, desire to help others and a genuine love of working with a variety of people.
Born and raised in the Dallas area, Angie still lives here with her husband and daughter. She loves the diversity and number of opportunities the city has to offer. In her free time, she can be found reading, enjoying time with friends and family, singing in her church choir and playing tennis.
