Naveid joined GPP in February 2019 as a manager on our IRS defense services team where he represents taxpayers in controversies with the IRS, including collections, audits, appeals, and Tax Court matters. Prior to joining GPP, Naveid was an associate attorney at Brown, PC where he represented taxpayers in IRS audits, appeals, collections matters, and criminal investigations.
Naveid prides himself on treating every client’s matter as if it is own. He once helped a client repatriate cash and gold from Switzerland after disclosing the existence of these assets to the IRS and obtaining immunity under the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program. Naveid also successfully requested abatement of a six-figure penalty for a doctor who failed to pay his taxes on time due to anxiety and depression he was facing during a difficult divorce. And he successfully appealed the IRS’s disallowal of the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion for a U.S. intelligence operative living in the Middle East.
Naveid, described by his friends and colleagues as easy to get along with, was born and raised in Plano and has a daughter named Kynlee. A natural athlete, he enjoys hiking, rock-climbing, and basketball, as well as traveling and reading. He has a black belt in taekwondo and speaks Persian
