Richard joined Goldin Peiser & Peiser in April 2018 as a manager in the tax department and within a year was promoted to tax senior manager, focusing on clients in the oil & gas and manufacturing & distribution industries. Richard also has significant experience with international tax compliance and with high-net-worth individuals. He began his career in 2011 with BDO USA where he spent seven years in the core tax services group and managed several of the Dallas office’s largest clients. While at BDO, Richard helped a client restructure its multinational operations to obtain over $40 million of tax savings on a $500 million sale transaction; managed the tax complexities of a deconsolidation of a large publicly traded client; and analyzed strategies to maximize tax savings under the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act for high-net-worth clients.
Richard’s colleagues describe him as someone who puts others first and strives to help those around him succeed. He thrives on being active – playing tennis, golf and running – and attending sporting events. Richard grew up in Vancouver, B.C. but now lives in Dallas with his wife, Tara, and two sons, Hunter and Hayden.
